Baker

 

Reports to: General Manager/Shift Manager

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Baker is responsible for baking bread, croissants, muffins, cookies, and pastries that meet Rue 41 quality standards.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Thawing, shaping, proofing, cutting and baking all Rue 41 Breads.

  2. Thawing, proofing, baking and garnishing all Rue 41 Croissants.

  3. Thawing, scooping and baking all Rue 41 Muffins

  4. Baking cookies and other Rue 41 pastries.

  5. Baking all the Rue 41 Bakery products according to a schedule that allows freshly baked products to be coming out of the oven during peak business hours.

  6. Following a Daily Production guide that has been approved by a Manager.

  7. Ordering, receiving, and storing delivered frozen dough products.

  8. Cleaning bakers area, (proof box, shaper, ovens, work benches, floors).

  9. Wearing appropriate uniform.

  10. Executing a non-disclosure agreement to acknowledge the confidential and proprietary information regarding the Trade Secrets of the Rue 41 Baking system.

AUTHORITY:

The baker has the authority to:

  1. Enter the refrigerator, freezer and stockroom to get ingredients/products needed for baking.

  2. Operate all bakery equipment.

  3. Carry keys to the store, enter the store at the beginning of the shift.
