Cashier

 

Reports to: General Manager/Shift Manager

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Handle cash transactions at the register. Serve any remaining items at the request of the customer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Projecting a helpful friendly image to all guests at all times.

  2. Organizing cash drawer at the end of each shift.

  3. Handling carry out requests.

  4. Following all procedures for charge card transactions.

  5. Knowing the menu and be able to up sell to all customers.

  6. Operating the cash register and carefully handling all cash transactions.

  7. Handling employee meal discounts (manager only).

  8. Wearing the appropriate uniform whenever on duty.

  9. Practicing good principles of phone etiquette.

  10. Making the necessary cash drops as per Management instruction.

  11. Seeking a Manager when a justified poor or negative comment is received.

  12. Maintaining the cleanliness of the entire front area.

  13. Performing any other task as directed by the Manager.
