Dishwasher
Reports to: General Manager/Shift Manager

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The dishwasher is responsible for maintaining, operating, and cleaning dishwashing equipment and ensuring that all dishes are clean throughout shift.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Filling the 3-compartment sink with fresh water at the start of each shift.
Setting up buspans for presoaking of utensils.
Ensuring that wash and rinse cycle temperatures are registering at proper levels and that cycle times are correct.
Ensuring that all storage racks are clean before placing smallwares on them.
Scraping and pre-rinsing all items, front and back, before they go through the machine ensuring that each dish, glass or piece of silver is perfectly clean before it is returned to use.
Cleaning all baking trays.
Seeing that during the busiest times, items needed the most are given priority through communication with the kitchen staff and Managers.
Changing the water periodically and cleaning garbage trays in the machine as often as the work load demands.
Wearing the proper uniform whenever on duty.
Performing any other task as assigned by the Manager.
AUTHORITY:
The dishwasher has the authority to operate the dishwashing machine and to enter the stockroom to get cleaning aids needed to perform the job.
